Hardy's Studio specializes in painting large scale painted backdrops, both "mottled"/textured and scenic. A large part of our business is painting grey portrait style backdrops, which are customized to each client’s specifications.

The process of creating a custom backdrop begins with a conversation with Françoise. Any information relevant to the appearance of the final backdrop is useful: tear sheets, reference photos, pantone colors and any visual cues are encouraged and extremely helpful.

Backdrop features such as tonality, vignette effects, degree of saturation and treatment of backdrop edges can be determined during this process.

 

We also offer double sided canvases. Throughout the process of creating your backdrop, we will send progress photos and make alterations if needed.
